Aspen leaves against blue sky in fallFrom time to time I’ll share some links to some of my favorite reads. I know there are a lot of voices out there but these are a few I’ve found that were worth sharing and hopefully add to your own learning and growing.

This week’s links obviously have a bit of a theme and I hope they bring a bit of quiet to the very noisy week we’ve had.

Happy weekend!

Empathy Starting here is a good place for all our conversations and Margaret H. Sibley Ph.D. gives a poignant definition of what it means to really understand the feelings of others.

3 Things I do When I’m Discouraged + Sad I can always count on Tsh from the Art of Simple to have wise and thoughtful words that are accompanied by practical action steps.  It helped this week and her playlist is well curated.

Post-election Conversations: Your Kids Are Listening More Than You Think Your kids probably experienced some big feelings this week too.  Make some space for them to sort out their thoughts too.

7 Steps to Internet Sanity Because sometimes we just need to turn it off.  Emily Freeman’s recovery plan helps you minimize some of the cacophony without having too much FOMO.  A wise reminder always, but especially this week.

The Popcast podcast Episode 167: Fan-Fictioning Politics, Best and Worst Fictional and Fake Politicians Laughter really does help and I can always count on Knox and Jamie to delightfully entertain me.  You can’t ask for a better hour long escape from reality.

Letter To A Person On Their First Day Here And finally, this is an older video from the adorable wisdom of Kid President but such a beautiful reminder and pep talk for how we need/should see the world.

Favorite Instagram this week:

The students at @butlerlabschool created signs about what they want in their president. Such wisdom from these brave students!
